Dermaroller
( Microneedling )
Microneedling, often referred to as Dermarolling or Collagen Induction Therapy, is a cosmetic procedure in which multiple tiny little needles are inserted into the skin surface via a rolling or stamping device.
It is used to treat superficial, moderate, and deep acne scars, evening out the skin texture through collagen stimulation.
How does it work?
It is a quick procedure in which the skin is cleansed first, followed by the application of numbing cream.
Then a special device with tiny microneedles is rolled or stamped over the skin. This causes a low level of trauma to the outer layer of the skin which prompts the skin’s healing process, leading to skin regeneration and production of anti-ageing substances like collagen and elastin.
Dermaroller also creates tiny pathways in the skin for better absorption of active ingredients and serums.
