Laser Hair Reduction
Laser hair reduction is one of the most popular long-term treatments for removing unwanted hair on the face and body for both men and women. It uses an energy-based device, which can selectively target hair follicles to stop hair growth in the treated area. Areas commonly treated are the legs, arms, underarms, bikini line, back, chest, abdomen, chin, and upper lip. Results can be permanent but occasionally maintenance treatments are required to sustain results, particularly with hormonal hair growth, such as facial hirsutism, in women.

Compared to waxing, shaving, and threading, laser hair reduction is the most economical hair reduction method in the long run. There are no chances of ingrown hair or irritated or infected skin.
How does it work?
The course of the treatment is, on average, 6-8 sessions, spaced 4-6 weeks apart. During the treatment, residual hair in the treatment area is shaved. A cooling gel is applied to protect your skin from the heat of the laser. You will be asked to wear protective eye goggles for your treatment. During the treatment, you may experience minimal to no pain or discomfort.
Depending on what area is being treated, treatment can take anywhere from 15 minutes for underarms to an hour for full legs or back. The average session lasts for 30-60 minutes.
Optimising results
Laser hair reduction is a very effective treatment for the long-term or permanent reduction of unwanted hair on the face and body.
You may start to notice a reduction in hair growth after the first few treatments but a course is required to achieve the maximum benefit as our hair grows in cycles.
