A 36 year old female came to ORIJINE with complaints of pigmentation on the face ( bilateral cheeks ) developed after childbirth. She gave a strong family history of similar pigmentation in her mother.
After having used different types of over the counter ‘skin fairness’ products for a number of years, her pigmentation had worsened and the telltale signs of the usage of these OTC products were extremely evident. But in the process, she had gotten addicted to the OTC products ( hoping that at some point, the pigmentation would reduce ).
The treatment designed at ORIJINE was a combination of peels, lasers, intra-lesional injections and FDA approved oral anti-oxidants and cosmeceuticals
Treating this particular condition was not an easy process and it took about 12 sessions of laser toning at regular intervals along with massive counseling ( against the temptation to use ‘fairness products’ ).
Eventually, these sessions resulted in a drastic reduction of the pigmentation patches and the treatment (Maintainance) is still ongoing.
